You don't need no gypsy to tell you why

We, like all other animals on this planet, are in constant synchronization with the biorhythms of the Earth. We flow with the timing of the Sun and the Moon. We move, live and breathe to the dictation of the Earth, the Sun and the Moon.

And just like wild animals moving to the grounds vibrations, we hibernate upon the first snowfall. Resting, centering, reflecting… preparing. To once again emerge with the warmth and protection of the Sun. Greeting the birds and peepers with a well-rested heart and mind.

We do this on rainy days too. Constantly taking direction from the weather. Constantly embracing  what Mother Nature delivers. When the rains come we look deeper within. We relax. We prepare. And as the Sun starts to shine again, we peer into the whole spectrum of color. We move forward with intent and a clear path.

We are animals. Beautiful creatures dancing with the biorhythms of the Earth. Moving about wherever we please. Each of us with a Spirit and Soul that could never be weighed or measured.

We live beautiful lives of chaos and enchantment. Darkness and light. Rainy days and bright days. And because we are so used to hibernating when skies turn grey, we often do that. We tend to take a step back when things get a little tough in life. Which is sometimes necessary, like reading a book on a rainy day. Sometimes we need a break.

But a lot of the time we hang out there for a while and start to hibernate. Festering in the ugly days that come with life. When shit hits the fan, when things flip upside down, when you can’t see a silver lining… We start to get comfortable hiding under that blanket that we’ve sewn together with all the things that sucked.

We’ve all done it. We’ve all used and abused our hibernation methods this way. To step out of life for a while, out of the Sun, to hide from anything else that might hurt. Over-welcoming our stay with the security blanket.

Life can be scary. And so can Mother Nature and solar flares. But we rarely sit and fester over that.

Why?

Because we’re animals. Beautiful Creatures that move and flow with the biorhythms of the Earth, not hide away from it. When we see changes in the Earth, we reflect on it and brilliantly try to heal it and move forward. In order to move forward.

That is life.

When things go bad, it is merely a rainy day in the nature of your Life. Simply just a passing storm. So let go like you let go of a any other rainy day. Surrender. Move to the rhythms of your life like you do with the rhythms of the Earth. The Sun always shines after the rains, and so do you.

So step outside in the Sun.. step outside of yourself… Shine… Shine… Shine.

Do what you do best. Live. Reflect. Grow. Move forward and let yourself shine no matter how many rainy days you’ve had.

In the words of The Allman Brothers Band:

“You don’t need no gypsy to tell you why…

You can’t let one precious day slip by…

Look inside yourself, and if you don’t see what you want…

Maybe sometimes then you don’t…

But leave your mind alone and just get high…”
